Job Details
Murray State welcomes applications for Research & Instruction Librarian/Assistant Professor, Liaison to the Humanities. This is a full time, 12-month tenure-track position. This position serves in the University Libraries as a Research & Instruction librarian, and is responsible for aiding members of the university community with basic and advanced research needs, teaching subject-specific instruction sessions, and teaching credit-bearing information literacy courses. Liaising specifically with the Departments of Psychology, Political Science and Sociology, and History, this position is tasked with providing scaffolded instructional/information literacy sessions to students and faculty in those disciplines, and representing those disciplines in collection development decisions within the University Libraries. Engages in research & service to support this role and the tenure-track position.
Minimum Education RequirementsAmerican Library Association-accredited Master’s Degree is required.
