Institutional Effectiveness Research Associate

Job description

This grant-funded position supports the Office of Institutional Research in providing assistance to faculty and staff in the development and implementation of the technical aspects of research projects and activities related to grants development and evaluation. Other aspects of the position include managing data for the evaluation of grants with internal staff and external evaluators. Assisting in the development of research, planning, outcomes assessment and evaluation studies for grants and other college initiatives. Extracting and organizing data, statistics and narrative from appropriate sources. Analyzing data using SPSS and Excel to provide appropriate statistical information for research projects. Presenting and summarizing data in text, tabular and/or graphical form.

Required Qualifications:  BA/BS in a related field required. Experience in research design, data analysis, grants development, grants evaluation and report preparation required.  Must have demonstrated ability to employ a balanced and positive approach to all work activities and work collaboratively across various constituencies of the College and with vendors and external constituencies. Exhibits strong skills in communication, customer and student focus, building relationships, organizing and planning.  Technologically proficient in common office desktop software and familiar with cloud-based computing as well as collaborative platforms and software. Experience with grant and institutional analysis, statistical applications (SPSS) utilization and Survey Monkey.   Experience:  A minimum of 1 year in an office of Institutional Research, Effectiveness or Assessment preferred.
