Position Summary:

A University Services Program Associate/Program Coordinator in the Department of Liberal Arts and Applied Studies works to support Program Directors to plan and implement quality, revenue generating continuing education programming for adult learners from statewide, national and international audiences. This is a non-teaching position. The work of this position is at the direction of Program Directors. The position is under the general supervision of the Program Associate Supervisor. This position will be responsible for supporting continuing education programs. This position will be expected to support other program areas or administration as assigned by the Program Associate Supervisor to meet the needs of the department. The position requires mastery of a broad set of competencies: event support and coordination, customer service, effective written and oral communication, organizational skills, time management, project management, and computer proficiency.

The Program Coordinator performs a wide range of administrative duties in support of programs directed by multiple program directors. The position requires the management of multiple priorities, strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, independent judgment, and sound decision making. In some situations, the program coordinator will need to speak/act on the behalf of the program director in his/her absence. The Division of Continuing Studies provides and supports high quality continuing education, outreach, service and scholarship related to personal enrichment and professional development. Continuing Studies is a revenue generating unit; programs and courses are expected to contribute to the financial sustainability of the department.
