The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder is currently seeking applications for tenure-track faculty positions in the areas of synthetic biology, systems biology, biomolecular transport and regenerative medicine with applications to energy, medicine and advanced materials. We are undergoing a period of unprecedented faculty growth and expansion to match an ambitious vision of research and teaching excellence. The college now includes a new PhD degree in Biological Engineering as well as new state-of-the art facilities in both the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building and the Sustainability, Energy and Environment Community Building.
Qualified candidates will contribute through their interdisciplinary research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and service, to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. Each new faculty member will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program that synergizes with others in the University of Colorado system. Candidates whose expertise cuts across engineering and related disciplines are especially encouraged to apply. The openings are targeted at the level of Assistant Professor, but experienced individuals with outstanding credentials will be considered for Associate or Full Professor Appointments.
