The Saturday Enrichment Program at the Curry School of Education is seeking candidates for the position of Enrichment Classroom Assistant for its program in Charlottesville, VA. You will attend training, complete Youth Protection Policy training, and provide assistance and support to the Lead Teacher in the classroom during five Saturday morning enrichment classes which serve gifted and talented students in grades Kindergarten through 5th. The program lasts over five consecutive Saturdays from January 18, 2020 through February 15, 2020 with February 22 reserved as a make-up snow date.

Required qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be effective communicators and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Ability to support children from diverse backgrounds

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a teacher in a classroom setting or working with children
  • Some college coursework
