Job Details
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Associate Dean for Faculty and Graduate Programs. The Associate Dean will serve as a member of the MCCB Executive Leadership Team supporting the MCCB mission, vision, and strategic goals. Primary responsibilities include: (a) identifying, designing, and implementing programs to support the work of the faculty relative to research, teaching, and professional practice; (b) oversight of all graduate programs, including student recruitment, program design and implementation, identification and proposals for new programs, and extra- and co-curricular programming; and (c) management, with the dean, of the AACSB continuous improvement process.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement initiatives that engage and develop faculty in support of the MCCB strategic plan, including working with the departments in the College and across campus to identify and involve faculty in activities that support the plan (e.g., research, professional practice, teaching excellence, online education)
- Provide oversight and management of the AACSB continuous improvement process for the MCCB in conjunction with relevant program directors/department heads
- Work with the Assurance of Learning/Assessment Committee to ensure that SACSOC and AACSB requirements for assessment of learning are met for all programs as required
- Design and implement onboarding process for all new faculty (i.e., tenure-track, limited term, and adjunct)
- Oversee policies and processes related to faculty qualifications to assure faculty meet AACSB requirements
- Coordinate the preparation by department heads of annual faculty evaluations, first-year reviews, pre-tenure reviews, promotion and tenure recommendations, and post-tenure reviews
- Serve as liaison with MCCB Faculty Committee to identify and address areas of faculty concern
- Provide leadership for MCCB Graduate Curriculum Committee, including exploration of potential new graduate programs, marketing of current programs, and regular and ongoing reviews of existing programs
- Identify and implement opportunities for engagement by faculty in executive education to build the MCCB brand
- Administration
- Oversee process for awarding faculty teaching and research grants and recognitions
- Maintain faculty records
- Coordinate catalog updates for graduate programs
- Manage the MCCB Academic Policies Manual
- Participate in AACSB surveys and other activities
- Assist with preparation of rankings for the MCCB
- Serve as the facilities liaison for the Dahlonega programs
- Represent the college on university committees related to academic policies, faculty governance and graduate programs

- Interest in pursuing future leadership opportunities in the college, university, and beyond
- Terminal degree in business or related field is required.
- Tenured faculty member at rank of full professor or applying for full professor within a year
- Meets AACSB requirements for Scholarly Academic faculty
