The University of Louisville's Department of Comparative Humanities invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Religious Studies with a specialty in Christianity. Candidates must be qualified to teach both undergraduate survey courses in religious studies and more specialized upper-level and graduate courses in Christian religion, thought, and culture within an interdisciplinary humanities program. The department especially seeks candidates with specialization in Christian traditions of Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Pacific, or the Caribbean. Other areas of competence may include but are not limited to digital humanities, gender studies, hermeneutics, film, or global culture.

Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. in hand or expected by July 2020, evidence of teaching excellence, and a record of research and publications. The position begins August 1, 2020, and the course load is 2/2 per year.
