Data Center Analyst
Full-time Support Staff
Sugar Grove Campus

The Data Center Analyst reports to the Senior Data Center Managerand supports all college data center data analysis functions.

Responsibilities

Provide support for servershardware and software application technologies.

Install, configure and maintain serverbuilds and deployments.

Test and install new and old serverOperating Systems.

Assist short- and long-term plansfor data center infrastructure design.

Design, develop, implement andmanage campus servers and storage systems.

Manage and troubleshoot inter- andintra-net hardware, software and connectivity.

Manage, maintain and troubleshoot issueswith servers, storage, applications and integration with other IT systems.

Participate in planning for growthin multi-site environment.

Implement and maintain securityand management software.

Maintain and support college Windows,Mac and Linux server environments.

Maintain and support virtualserver and desktop environment.

Maintain and support the storagearea network.

Perform other duties as assignedby the Data Center Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Technology or related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Three years experience ina large data center environment required.

Competency with multiple operatingsystems, software and related hardware.

Competency with Linux, Mac andWindows operating systems and related hardware.

Comprehensive knowledge of VMWare.

Knowledge of Internet connectivityincluding LAN/WAN systems and software installation.

Working knowledge of Zenworks or SCCSdesired.

Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills.

Ability to self-direct and workeffectively interpersonally as well as technically.

Ability to work off hours and be oncall for support based on a rotating schedule.
