Description:
The Division of Transplant Surgery Department of Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine is accepting applications for a full-time, 12 month service period, Transplant surgeon faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor rank without tenure by reason of funding. The salary and rank is commensurate with training, qualifications, and experience, with an expected start date in Fall 2019.
The position will be based at UW Medical Center and will have responsibility for direction of the Living Donor Liver Transplantation Program and surgical direction of the Liver Transplant Program. The successful candidate will participate in surgical transplantation procedures, clinics, candidate selection, and donor organ evaluation and recovery. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
Qualifications:
Requirements for this position include: MD degree (or foreign equivalent), board eligibility (or foreign equivalent) in surgery, and successful completion of a transplant surgery fellowship.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
