Description:

The University of Washington Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics & Hospital Medicine, along with the Child Protection Program, are accepting applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor (WOT) or Associate Professor (WOT) rank, commensurate with experience, on the clinician-educator track. This is a 12-month service period. The successful applicant will have clinical duties in child abuse pediatrics, as well as part time teaching responsibilities. Anticipated start date is Fall/Winter 2019.


The Division of General Pediatrics and Hospital Medicine will provide clinical and teaching opportunities at Seattle Children’s Hospital and in clinics affiliated with the University of Washington Department of Pediatrics, Harborview Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital.

All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.


Qualifications:

Applicants must have an MD (or foreign equivalent), board certification in Pediatrics (MDs only) and board certified or eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics.


In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
