Description:
The Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Washington is recruiting a full time Assistant Professor without tenure (commensurate with experience and qualifications) on the clinician-educator track. Position will be multi-year appointments over a 12-month service period.
The successful applicant will become a member of the Leukemia/Lymphoma team and will have clinical responsibilities including in-patient and ambulatory attending, performing procedures (including lumbar puncture with chemotherapy and bone marrow aspiration/biopsy) in clinic and consultations. The successful applicant will also serve as Subject Matter Expert of implementation of new electronic health record and will conduct oversight of standard treatment and investigational trials for Hodgkin Lymphoma.
All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Anticipated start date is Summer/Fall 2019.
Qualifications:
Interested applicants must have an MD, DO or MD and DO combined (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
