Description:

The UW Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time fellowship trained candidate for a faculty position in adult reconstruction/joint replacement. The practice will be located at Northwest Hospital and Medical Center. Opportunities exist for both clinical and basic research as well as resident and medical student education. Appointment is expected to be at the assistant professor level, without tenure due to funding. The position has a 12-month service period with an anticipated start date in the fall of 2020. Responsibilities will include resident education, medical student teaching, and clinical or basic research. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to develop a busy clinical practice encompassing all aspects of hip and knee reconstruction.


Qualifications:

Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent), be fellowship-trained and be board certified (or eligible) in orthopaedic surgery. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or foreign equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
