The University of Washington Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Seattle Children’s Hospital are seeking a board-certified fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist for a full-time academic position in the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor without tenure. This position would be a multi-year appointment with a 12 month service period.
Clinical responsibilities include patient care, call, and student, resident and fellow supervision and education.
Anticipated start date September 1, 2020.
We seek a surgeon-scientist with demonstrated clinical and research expertise in childhood communication, ideally with a record of extramurally funded research in communication sciences.
Minimum qualifications include an MD or DO (or foreign equivalent), and certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology, completion of fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology and eligible for a Washington State medical license. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
