The Department of Radiology at the University of Washington is seeking applications for one full-time (100% FTE) faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor without tenure, commensurate with experience, to join the Emergency and Trauma Radiology section at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, WA with an anticipated start date of October 1, 2019. School of Medicine faculty members have an annual service period of 12 months (July 1-June 30).
Harborview Medical Center is one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers and the only Level 1 trauma center in the state of Washington. In addition to caring for local trauma and non-traumatic emergencies, Harborview receives and cares for large numbers of severely injured patients transferred from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Washington and Wyoming.
We staff a busy emergency radiology practice situated in the center of the emergency and trauma center. We train medical students and all radiology residents from the University of Washington, as well as two Emergency Radiology fellows per year. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Candidates for this position must hold an M.D. or foreign equivalent, be board certified in radiology, possess or be eligible for a full medical license in Washington State, and have a strong desire for a career in academic radiology. Candidates should have a demonstrated record of academic ability and productivity. A fellowship in Emergency Radiology, or appropriate experience in an Emergency Radiology program with demonstrated clinical expertise in the field, is required. A demonstrable track record of academic productivity and teaching is required with scholarly activities and publications suitable for appointment to the faculty of the Radiology Department at the University of Washington. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B Visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
