Description:
The Division of Transplant Surgery Department of Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine is accepting applications for a full-time, 12 month service period, Pediatric Transplant Surgeon faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor rank without tenure by reason of funding. The salary and rank is commensurate with training, qualifications, and experience, with an expected start date in Summer 2019.
This position will be based at Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH) and will have responsibility for surgical direction of the SCH Pediatric Liver Transplant Program. The successful candidate will participate in surgical transplantation procedures, clinics, candidate selection, and donor organ evaluation and recovery. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
Qualifications:
Requirements for this position include: MD degree (or foreign equivalent), board eligibility (or foreign equivalent) and successful completion of a transplant surgery fellowship.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
