The University of Washington Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology is recruiting a full-time faculty member for an appointment at the Assistant Professor rank (without tenure due to funding, on the physician/scientist pathway) with an annual service period of 12 months (July 1-June 30). Applicants must have a research interest in hematopoiesis, stem cell biology, or leukemogenesis that complements the activities of the University of Washington or Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center investigators. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Position will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date is November 1, 2019.
The selected candidate must have an MD or Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent). For MD candidates, in order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Board certification in Hematology (or foreign equivalent) would also be required
