Seattle Children’s Hospital and the University of Washington, School of Medicine are seeking a full-time, 12 month Pediatric Critical Care Medicine faculty member. This position would be for an academic appointment as Assistant Professor, WOT; Associate Professor, WOT or Professor, WOT commensurate with experience and qualifications on the clinician educator pathway.

Pediatric Critical Care Division faculty oversee clinical care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Units at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Harborview Medical Center. The successful candidate will engage in teaching and supervision of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) and other sub-specialty fellows, pediatric and emergency medicine residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers. The University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital present outstanding opportunities for research mentoring and collaboration in a broad range of areas. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

The anticipated start date is summer, 2019.

Qualifications:

This position requires an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent; board certification in pediatrics; and board certification or eligibility in pediatric critical care medicine.

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S,) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
