The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Clemson University (a Carnegie R1 Research University) seeks candidates to fill a tenure-track faculty position in experimental condensed matter physics at the Assistant Professor or higher level to begin on August 15, 2020. We strongly encourage applications from candidates who have a background related to experimental quantum computing. While the primary appointment for a successful candidate is in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, joint appointments with related departments within the university will be considered.

The successful candidate will be expected to establish a vigorous externally funded research program and teach physics and astronomy at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
