Description:

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Clemson University (a Carnegie R1 Research University) seeks candidates to fill a tenure-track faculty position in theoretical/computational condensed matter physics at the Assistant Professor or higher level to begin on August 15, 2020. The position is one of our two condensed matter physics hires this year. The successful candidate will have access to the Palmetto Cluster, Clemson University’s high-performance computing (HPC) resource (https://citi.sites.clemson.edu/infrastructure/#palmetto)


The Department of Physics and Astronomy has research programs in condensed matter physics, atomic and molecular physics, atmospheric physics, biophysics, and astronomy; additional information can be found at http://physics.clemson.edu. Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be expected to establish a vigorous externally funded research program and teach physics at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
