General Summary The Assistant Director of Marketing, in collaboration with the Director of Marketing/Fan Experience, will work under broad policy guidance and exercise sound judgment when making critical decisions under varying degrees of pressure. This position will serve the Athletic Department and the community on a day to day basis in addition to serving all marketing related needs of his/her assigned sports. This individual will need to work cohesively with coaches and other internal staff groups regularly to achieve objectives. This position will also be the point of contact behind all community related events from beginning to end. This position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the exclusive Reggie's Kids Club program and will serve as the liaison for the mascot and community partnership events. This individual will also serve as a functioning member of the creative unit.
Additional Information:
Required Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, Recreation Management, Communications or related field. *

2. Two years' of full-time experience in a liaison role in an Athletics department, which may include a Graduate Assistant position.

3. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with coaches, media, and athletics staff.

4. Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

5. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

6. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.

*Master's Degree in a related field may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.

Work Hours Core working hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, with evening and weekend events as necessary
