The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and The Department of Computer Science in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia seek to hire a postdoctoral research associate to support the faculty and students in the CPS Link Lab. The incumbent is expected to perform one or more of the following activities: generate novel research, contribute to writing papers and proposals, build and maintain CPS testbeds and systems, and mentor graduate students. Specific research area is Medical Cyber-Physical Systems. For more information about the ongoing projects in the PIs research groups at the UVA Link Lab, refer to the following links:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering by the start date. Proficient knowledge of computer word processing, spreadsheet, database software, power point, statistics and other software used in scientific research analysis are required. Research experience and significant implementation experience in Cyber-Physical Systems, Control, Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence is strongly preferred. Proficiency with C/C++ and Python programming in Linux and machine learning and data science is desirable. Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, willing to take the lead and work independently and as a team member is required. Ability to write and communicate clearly and complete research findings in the English language are also required.
