Preferred Qualifications

•Training graduate business students on Microsoft Office suite of products, Tableau, basic HTML coding, and other web-based applications.
•Experience in science, research, or other fields relying on data collection and measurement, performing statistical analysis and building customized spreadsheets.
•Proficiency in ACCESS, SQL, R, and Tableau or other data visualization tools.
•Querying/maintaining databases.
•Building, customizing, and maintaining executive dashboards.
•Developing, writing, and editing presentation-quality materials for 100% accuracy and effectiveness.
•Customizing computer applications to meet business needs.

Position Summary

The Career Training and Development Specialist occupies a key position on the MBA/MSBA Career Management Center (CMC) team. S/he reports to the Director of the CMC managing and delivering a variety of services including: teaching BUSN 7990, the MBA Service-Learning Leadership Course, and co-teaching BUSN 7900 Strategy Execution for Career Success, providing high-touch customer service for employers, performing various system and data management tasks essential to the CMC’s effective operation, a variety of project management duties, and selected marketing and communications tasks.

Recruiting & Relationship Management:
•Plan and execute recruiting operations to develop and strengthen recruiting relationships.
•Schedule and execute on-campus recruiting, job postings, and resume referrals.
•Initiate and maintain contact with employers to schedule regular recruiting efforts; advise employers on best recruiting practices.
•Post jobs, schedule interviews, arrange and execute interview day logistics.
•Benchmark recruiting practices and policies for employers against other schools and recommend changes as appropriate.
•Advise companies on recruiting events, coordinate planning of events.
•Load student data onto job posting system and conduct training sessions for student use.
•Collaborate with UGA’s Career Center and Terry’s office of Undergraduate Student Services and Corporate Relations to facilitate positive recruiter and student experiences for recruiters interested in multiple student populations.
•Research specific training programs to help students improve skills sought by MBA/MSBA employers, recommend and implement appropriate training modules.
•Conduct instructor-led training sessions for students on individual and group case consulting interviews.
•Recommend and enact programming to assist International MBA students to navigate the US job search.
•Teach BUSN 7990 the MBA Service-Learning Leadership Course; Source and scope experiential service-learning projects, define learning objectives, deliver content, monitor and track students’ performance, and assign grades.
•Co-teach BUSN 7900, MBA Career Strategies for first and second year MBA students as well as STEM MBA students.

Student Training and Skill Development Programming:
•Assess student training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, or consultation with hiring managers, or other customer representatives.
•Design, develop, and deliver training modules for students including but not limited to, Excel, PowerPoint slide design, and data visualization through Tableau and other tools as recommended.
•Obtain, organize, and/or develop training procedure manuals and guides for use in above programs.
•Maintain and update training materials, exercises, hand-outs, and exams to reflect best practices; incorporate changes in policies, processes, forms or systems in response to student feedback.

Systems Management, Data Collection & Reporting:
•Collect, calculate, report, and maintain student employment data and statistics in compliance with MBA Career Services & Employer Alliance (MBA CSEA) standards.
•Manage and execute all aspects of MBA employment reporting for rankings organizations in conjunction with CMC Director and Director of Rankings & Assessment.
•Analyze employment data to create insights that drive program improvements.
•Perform data collection and analysis as needed to inform Career Management strategy, measure effectiveness, and investigate new opportunities.
•Manage online recruiting systems from annual setup of account parameters through managing student, alumni and employer accounts, train staff and students; Collaborate with Atlanta MBA careers team, UGA Career Center and Undergraduate Student Services & Corporate Relations on system use.
•Troubleshoot issues with systems and resolve them quickly to best effect, communicating with impacted constituents as necessary.
•Serve as primary point person on all student and employer resource systems, measure usage and effectiveness, shepherd vendor contracts through office and university processes, evaluate and make recommendations for future use.
•Evaluate usage by target populations (students, alumni, and employers and present recommendations to optimize use.
•Conduct data analysis to explore the effectiveness of corporate relations and career education & advising efforts; recommend and implement needed changes and process improvements.

Departmental Operations & Project Management:
•Proactively identify opportunities for greater efficiency in all office operations, and work with team to implement solutions including templates, checklists, information sharing, and work-in-progress management tools.
•Monitor employer and student satisfaction and recommend improvements as necessary to enhance customer service for both constituencies.
•Assist Associate Director of Corporate Relations in planning, scheduling, and execution of a variety of networking and recruiting events to bring students together with alumni, employers, and others.
•Survey students to assess interests in market treks and company visits; recommend options; help plan and execute events based on findings.
•Recommend, plan and execute departmental projects and training to prepare international MBA students for the US job search.
•Assist Director of FTMBA/MSBA Student Services in planning and execution of Terry’s Graduate Student Convocation ceremony.
•Automate and update processes as appropriate.

Marketing & Communications:
•Market job opportunities and events to students from multiple programs as appropriate; communicate effectively with students to draw their attention to relevant opportunities.
•Manage, and execute CMC’s print and digital marketing communications projects, including: student profiles; recruiter’s guide; employment reporting on website; student photographs; employer newsletter content; event campaigns and other communications.
•Produce, provide, and archive content for web pages and social media posts targeted to companies and prospective students, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
•Build strong working relationships with MBA Admissions, Terry College Office of Marketing & Communications, and other campus constituents as appropriate.
