Job Summary:

TheSecurity Officer position at OSU-Center for Health Sciences is responsible formaintaining the security of people, buildings and their contents, preventingbreak-ins and theft through guarding and surveillance. The role of SecurityOfficer varies from day to day and the individual in the position must bequick-thinking to deal with situations as they arise.

There may be exposure to physical danger, such as:
-Dangerous criminal elements
-Arrest situations
-Mentally deranged persons
-Traffic accidents
-Unruly crowds
-May be exposed to disease or hazardous materials during emergency responses
-Must often work outside in any weather and often in other unpleasant and/or hazardous conditions

Must be able to lift up to 200 lbs, push, pull, climb, balance,stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp,feel, talk, hear, see and do repetitive motions with or without reasonableaccommodations.

Position Qualifications:

Required:-High School/GED-One year of related work experience is required,-Valid Oklahoma driver license-Current Oklahoma CLEET License in: Phase 1 (Basic),Phase 2 (Officer) and Phase 4 (Firearms).
