UHealth IT has an amazing opportunity for a Systems Engineer for Diagnostic Imaging who will be responsible for the day to day operation of the equipment including image workflow, archiving, and auto routing, and other related activities. He/She will coordinate projects with the departments and hospital clinical staff in order to ensure effective integration of clinical systems with other institutional applications. This position requires related experience with a clear understanding of imaging workflows in Cardiology. This individual works closely with department managers and supervisors to ensure proper operation of Cardiology Imaging. This role requires the knowledge of the Epic integrations and experience with Hemodynamic systems and structured reporting. An understating of the bi-directional interface with the angiography X-ray system, image capture, connectivity to holding-area bedside monitors, ST segment analysis window and admission-discharge-transfer (ADT) , scheduling, billing, interfaces as well as statistics and inventory recording.

The Primary job responsibilities are:
• Responsible for day to day including image workflow, modality, archiving, auto routing, interface errors and other
related activities.
• Manages and coordinates system security to ensure that unauthorized personnel cannot access vital information
either locally or remotely.
• Assigns and updates user and system passwords and access levels.
• Performs regular inspections to ensure that all equipment is well maintained and operating in a safe work environment.
• Verifies system backups needed and ensures that information is being archived for audit reports, within system
limits.
• Ensures that studies are flowing from modalities to the archive and to reading stations through the various interfaces and processing queues.
• Fixes broken and corrupted studies; splits and merges studies and involves the vendor as needed.
• Updates the system configuration as new modalities, workstations, and codes that are added over time to the
various imaging systems.
• Validation of details responsible for network and operational management of Cardiology applications.
• Assist with implementation day to day operations and upgrades as necessary to maintain the system at optimal performance.
• Provides input to the appropriate business unit managers to assist in identifying present and future needs for
equipment.
• Maintain reliable performance of the integration environment for systems pertaining to medical imagining.
• Maintains proficiency with the integration technologies required and the applications systems assigned
• Performs testing for upgrades and problem solving during implementations, simulation and support phases of
the Medical Imaging Information Systems.
• Overseas activities of vendors in all phases of installation, implementation and training for new systems, applications and upgrades.

The minimum qualifications are a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.

Certification and Licensing: Epic Certifications or Proficiency

The minimum required experience is :
9 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
6 or more years Programming/System Engineering experience.
Diagnostic systems experience preferred.
Experience with project implementation and upgrades.
Solid understanding of Cardiology noninvasive and invasive workflow and how it relates to, Medical Imaging.
Excellent attention to detail, project management skills, and applications training skills.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Working knowledge of Citrix
• Highly self-motivated
• Extraordinary prioritization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
• Works efficiently in a high pressure, on-call environment with changing priorities
• Organized and detail oriented
• Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving capabilities
