• Experience producing digital content and managing email, website and social media marketing.

• Ability to develop content for feature stories and articles, and distribution through digital channels.

• Working knowledge of web content management and web analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media channels and audiences, and the ability to develop campaigns and targeted messages on each channel to engage those audiences.

• Photography and graphic design experience.

• Experience in fundraising or higher education a plus.

Job Description

The Alumni Digital Communications Coordinator will create and deploy strategic digital communications focused on increasing Texas State University alumni engagement and giving participation. The coordinator will contribute creative, editorial, and production ideas to the development of an alumni digital engagement strategy, and be responsible for aspects of its day-to-day execution. Manage digital marketing channels (e.g. website, emails, and social media) to support alumni relations in building audiences and generating activity among alumni.

Job Duties

• Collaborate with the Office of Alumni Relations to develop and implement long-term and short-term strategic plans for alumni social media and digital engagement.

• Day-to-day management of alumni social media accounts, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.

• Create and manage social media posting calendar.

• Monitor analytics to measure impact of alumni social media programs; analyze, review and report on effectiveness of efforts to maximize results. Develop Key Performance Indicators dashboard and regularly report on insights gained through social media monitoring.

• Contribute written copy, graphics, photography, video and other digital content in support of strategic communications efforts.

• Engage and track alumni recognition for possible promotion on social and other channels.

• Write articles and news stories that feature alumni success and impact.

• Assist with event communications as necessary.

• Work collaboratively with writers, designers, content producers, and subject-matter experts to create high-quality digital engagement content for alumni.

• Manage alumni website and develop web-based content as needed.

• May be asked to assist with creation, development and distribution of alumni event marketing and general promotional materials.

• Other communications-related activities as required.
