Loyola University Chicago is seeking an Assistant Professor to perform classroom teaching of students in area of digital advertising such as social media advertising, mobile advertising, innovative technologies in advertising, integrated marketing communication, and related courses; develop, design and prepare systematically regarding the above-mentioned courses; review and grade assignments; provide advice to individual students as requested; conduct and supervise research projects using both qualitative and quantitative research methods; utilize knowledge of basic and advanced statistical analysis of data; utilize knowledge of statistical tools including R, SPSS and etc.; prepare and submit research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals; attend and present at various international and national conferences or meetings; design, develop, and teach digital advertising courses including social media advertising, mobile advertising and other related fundamental courses; conduct scholarly research in the field of communication and advertising using both qualitative (e.g. interview, focus-group, content analysis), and quantitative methods (e.g. survey, experimental design, eye-tracking measurement) and statistical data analyses (e.g. basic linear regression analysis and structural equation modeling); work with students in student organizations and guiding students’ digital advertising works; contribute to school of communication in terms of providing professional administrative advices relating to digital advertising, including course renovation, and introducing new technology and digital tools in teaching and research.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or ABD (All But Dissertation) in Media & Information Studies or related field plus 2 years related experience and 2 years experience in the following required skills: design, develop, and teach digital advertising courses including social media advertising, mobile advertising and other related fundamental courses; conduct scholarly research in the field of communication and advertising using both qualitative (e.g. interview, focus-group, content analysis), and quantitative methods (e.g. survey, experimental design, eye-tracking measurement) and statistical data analyses (e.g. basic linear regression analysis and structural equation modeling); work with students in student organizations and guiding students’ digital advertising works; contribute to school of communication in terms of providing professional administrative advices relating to digital advertising, including course renovation, and introducing new technology and digital tools in teaching and research.
