Job Description:

The Department of Psychology welcomes applications for an open rank full-time position in the field of Community Psychology beginning Fall 2020. The Department currently offers an advanced undergraduate track and a Master of Arts in Community Psychology with a strong emphasis on community-based and experiential learning. Courses focus on both theory and skills building. At the undergraduate level the candidate would be expected to teach introductory and advanced community psychology theories and projects, special topics courses within the candidate's area of specialization, and other introductory or methodology courses. At the graduate level the candidate should be able to teach program evaluation and/or prevention/intervention and to supervise internships. The candidate would be expected to maintain an active research/practice agenda and to be involved in Master's theses supervision and consultation. There will be many opportunities for the candidate to build partnerships with local and international organizations for teaching, research, and/or community practice; the department has partnerships with over 40 NGOs and multilateral organizations. The candidate will be expected to play an active role in university, school, and departmental service.


Requirements:

Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent, and have a specialization in community psychology or related fields. Successful candidates should have an ongoing program of research and/or community practice, and skills or potential in high quality teaching. Candidates with research interests that are relevant to the region and those who show intradisciplinary or interdisciplinary links are preferred.
