Division of Development and Alumni Relations
The Division of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Georgia advances the goals, objectives and priorities of the university by generating private financial support, building and maintaining relationships with alumni and donors, and assisting students with career development opportunities.

Office of Parent Giving
The office of Parent Giving is focused on identifying and securing principal, major and annual leadership gifts from parents. The parent giving coordinator component of the office focuses on the event planning, communications and donation tracking necessary to support parent giving at UGA. This position will focus specifically on event planning and implementation and communication materials that support parent council donations and giving.

Preferred Qualifications

•University or event planning experience preferred
•Ability to lead and implement all aspects of development/fundraising-type events
•Professional experience related to sales, marketing, development, business administration, higher education, project management, or relationship management

Position Summary

This position is based in the Parent Giving unit of the Development & Alumni Relations Division and reports to the Senior Director. Its purpose serves to promote and enhance front-line development through development event coordination, development communications, donor stewardship, programs or department special projects. This position will independently manage and coordinate various special projects and events.

The ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people to establish a track record in building meaningful relationships coupled with the ability to inspire others are critical components of the position.
