Job Summary:

This position is consideredPrincipal Faculty for the Physician Assistant Program. Principal Facultysupport the program director and the medical director in ensuring that both thedidactic instruction and supervised clinical practice experiences meet currentpractice standards as they relate to the PA role in providing patient care inaccordance with the ARC-PA Standards and Oklahoma State University policies.

This position is a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, non-tenure track.

50% Academic responsibilities/50% Clinical Practice.

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger,grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Requirements:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification
- Current State License preferably with current DEA, OBNDD
- Clinical experience of two or more years working full-time as a physician assistant
- Teaching experience, with an emphasis in PA education
- Knowledge and understanding of PA program organization, administration
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Leadership skills demonstrated by participation in local, regional or national PA programs

Preferred:
- Prefer ACL, BLS, PALS certification
