Job Details
This full time position, reporting to the Esports Director will manage all aspects of the Overwatch teams.
Primary Duties:
- Responsible for recruiting the Overwatch roster at Illinois Wesleyan University. During the first year, will oversee and coach a club level team of students pre-existing on campus.
- Manage all aspects of the Overwatch teams, including scheduling, planning practices, match/event preparation, coaching, recruiting, budgeting, organizing travel arrangements, supervision (academic/well-being), and managing student workers.
- Provide support to the Super Smash Bros. team, including scheduling, supervision, budgeting, arranging travel, scouting and selecting coaching staff and recruitment.
- Provide support to the Esports Director and League of Legends Head Coach.
Requirements:
- Coaching experience at the top amateur, collegiate, or professional level
- Deep understanding of the competitive Overwatch and Smash scenes
- Working knowledge of Super Smash Bros.
- Proficient in online platforms, such as tournament boards, clients, office suite
- Basic knowledge of broadcasting and streaming is preferred
- Infrequent travel is expected (approximately 2-5 times a year). International travel is rare, but possible.
