Requirements

General Clerk I, Marrow Donor Program - Georgetown University Medical Center

The General Clerk I provides general support to administrative branches of the Marrow Donor Center, communicating via telephone, fax, email, letters and forms, face-to-face, and in other electronic formats with internal and external staff and partnering agencies. S/he interacts with other Donor Center, admin, and lab personnel. Reporting directly to the Manager, Business Operations, the General Clerk I has additional duties that include but are not limited to:
  • Cross-trains to cover the front office.
  • Works as the preliminary Match Administrative Clerk, assisting in Kit Preparation and Case Flow administrative work.
  • Manages other duties as assigned or as departmental needs dictate.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Several years of related work experience
  • Computer experience with word processing
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills and advanced organizational skills
  • Ability to work with colleagues and donors of diverse backgrounds and attention to detail
