Assistant Director, Academic Community Engagement (Service-Learning)

 

Gannon University, a Catholic diocesan university, seeks an experienced professional for the position of Assistant Director, Academic Community Engagement (Service-Learning). Reporting to the Director of Community and Government Relations, the Assistant Director, Academic Community Engagement (Service-Learning) assists faculty and staff with the development and advancement of academic community experiential activities including but not limited to: course construction and/or revision; defining measurable objectives; designing and assessing outcomes; and promoting scholarship of engagement. Responsibilities also include: fostering relationships between community partners and the University; developing, coordinating, implementing and publicizing strategic community engaged learning (service-learning) projects and programming opportunities; collecting and analyzing impact data/statistics from community engaged learning outreach; and exploration of funding resources to support outreach efforts.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree, Adult Education Theory and Practice, and Teaching Experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree, Community Based (Service-Learning) Theory and Pedagogy Experience. Must to be able to support and promote the University’s mission.
