- Administers testing programs by verifying candidates' identity and enrollment and directs to the appropriate area; provides test instruction; distribute test materials; monitors area; collects test materials at the end of testing period; grades and files completed exam; reports and academic dishonesty cases to supervisor.
- Confirms testing instructions, materials allowed, deadline dates, and disposition of completed exams with the instructor; counts and reviews exams for proper format and advises instructors of needed corrections; records date tests are received.
- Responds to faculty and staff to ensure timely and accurate administration of exams; makes any changes to deadlines as requested.
- Prepares test instrument by entering test into the database, assigns tracking number; prepares color-coded exams in file folders for distribution; files in the appropriate file cabinet.
- Keys statistical data such as test taken, or picked up, and answer keys for scoring system.
- Administrative processes and procedures.
- Testing regulations and exam security measures.
- Special accommodation exams.
- Limited bookkeeping functions.
- High-stakes, Academic or Assessment Testing skills.
- Two or more years related work experience providing administrative support, customer service, dealing with the public, and /or standardize testing experience
Four years of related work experience may substitute for this education requirement. Applicants who substitute work experience to meet the education requirement must use additional related work experience to meet the years of "Required Work Experience" for this position. Please note that the college reserves the right to amend these terms of substitution at any time.
- Successfully pass criminal background check prior to employment
- Must be able to complete and pass all training/testing certification for High Stake testing within the first 60 days of employment.
- Know ACC Administrative Rules, Policies, Procedures, and Testing Center guidelines.
- Certified to administer CLEP, Castle Worldwide, Kryterion, or Pearson VUE exams
- Accepted practices in test administration.
ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty Only).
