Area(s) of specialization are open with primary consideration given to candidates who will contribute to the Department’s undergraduate and graduate educational missions, research productivity, and service.Educational Requirements for the Position
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related academic field. ABDs may apply but must have a Ph.D. by the start of employment.Experience Required for the Position
The successful candidate is expected to teach core courses in the Department’s academic degree programs, have an active research agenda that includes a strong publication record, potential for (or record of) externally funded research, and demonstrate a commitment to quality teaching and mentoring of students.Other Requirements for the Position
