The Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in the Curry School of Education seeks applicants for multiple Research Specialist (Wage) positions across Chesterfield County and surrounding areas.
The MTT Research Specialist (Wage) assists with on-site activities of the MTT Project. Incumbents assist with videotaping observations within middle and high school classrooms, collect data using project guidelines, and upload collected data.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, completed coursework at an institute of higher education is preferred. At least one year of experience performing direct work with children in either an educational setting or an out-of-school setting such as a summer camp or an after-school program is preferred. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population are essential. Reliable transportation for traveling between schools (mileage reimbursed) is required.
Availability a minimum of 3 full days (8am-3pm) per week is preferred. Ability to use and troubleshoot with technology, including laptops and tablets, is required, as is knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).
Applicants must be able to attend training in Chesterfield County, VA.
Position Compensation: $14-22/hour commensurate with education and experience.
