Enterprise Systems Administrator IIVP Information Technology

Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary

Under general guidance, the Enterprise Systems Administrator II ensures proper and efficient operation of the University's IT Infrastructure and all supporting systems applications.

 

Enterprise Systems Administrators are responsible for the University's computing environment. Duties include installation, maintenance, upgrading of the hardware and software and interfacing with users to determine support needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Information Technology or other related field and 2 years'™ systems administration experience, including 1 year experience in Cloud Service Administration or Windows and/or Linux server/application administration; OR High School Diploma/Equivalent and 4 years' systems administration experience, including 3 years' experience in Cloud Service Administration or Windows and/or Linux server/application administration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The ability to automate system administration tasks using scripting tools and modern programming languages.
  • VMware vSphere
  • Cloud Service Administration: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Office 365
