Job Description Summary
Selected applicants will be interviewed to establish a pool of approved Agriculture or Business instructors for possible part-time teaching assignments in the Business Division. Assignments may be day, evening, or weekend classes at the San Luis Obispo Campus, the North County Campus, South County Center or other sites within San Luis Obispo County.

Essential Functions & Qualifications

Required for Business:


-Master's in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing or business education;


OR


-Bachelor's in any of the above (for Business);
AND
-Master's in economics, personnel management, public administration, or JD or LL.B. degree;


OR


-Bachelor's in economics with a business emphasis
AND
-Master's in personnel management, public administration, or JD or LL.B. degree;


OR


-The equivalent. (Candidates making application on the basis of equivalency must submit all materials requested for an equivalency judgment. For directions on what is an acceptable equivalency argument please review the requirements listed on the following link:

Required for Agriculture Business:


-Any bachelor's degree or higher;
AND
-Two years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment;


OR


-Any associate degree;
AND
-Six years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment;


OR


-The equivalent. (Candidates making application on the basis of equivalency must submit all materials requested for an equivalency judgment. For directions on what is an acceptable equivalency argument please review the requirements listed on the following link:

Required:
-Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Desirable:
-Teaching experience in the discipline, community college level preferred;
-Awareness of the philosophy and objectives of California Community Colleges.

Interview Process Information
Selected applicants will be required to attend an interview and teaching demonstration on Thursday, December 5, 2019 or Friday, December 6, 2019.
