The Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure stream position in the area of clinical social work at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment will commence July 1, 2020 or shortly thereafter.

Candidates must have a PhD in social work or a related field by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and strengthen our existing strengths. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue innovative and independent research at the highest international level and to establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program.

The candidate must demonstrate research excellence and an emerging research reputation, as evidenced by the demonstrated ability to attract external funding, field-relevant peer-reviewed publications or forthcoming publications meeting high international standards, conference presentations, awards and accolades, the submitted research statement, and strong endorsements by referees of high standing. The candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching, as evidenced by a teaching dossier outlining experience and accomplishments, teaching statement, sample course syllabi, and teaching evaluations, as well as strong letters of reference. Clinical/practice experience of at least 2 years in social work or a related field is a requirement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
