Job Description Summary

This position will work with the head of facilities and game management to organize, plan and cover all athletic events on campus. This position will also serve as an assistant coach for a spring sport.

This is a part time position within the athletic department.

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Facilities Assistant responsibilities:

• Set up and/or take down of athletic facilities in preparation for events, practices and/or competition for both Husson programs and outside rentals

• Maintenance and care of artificial surfaces and surrounding facilities in the Winkin complex and at Boucher Field.

• Maintenance and care of the wooden floor in the Newman Gymnasium.

• Care, treatment and preparation of the natural surface and surrounding facilities at O’Keefe Field.

• Installation and care of corporate partner signage in all four athletic facilities.

• The Facilities Assistant will also perform event management responsibilities as scheduled and assigned.

• Miscellaneous projects as assigned

2. Sports specific game management responsibilities as assigned.

3. Coordinator all locker room assignments for visiting teams and officials.

• Communicate with Husson coach at least 3 days prior to competition.

• Signage on locker room doors at least 3 days prior to competition.

4. Communicate with visiting coaches via e mail no later than the day prior to the competition (not including football).

5. Serve as an assistant coach for a spring sport.

Education and Experience

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITIES
This person needs to have a background in sports with the ability to be flexible.

Physical Requirements

You will be required to lift heavy equipment and be able to adapt and learn how to use specific equipment.

The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
