The Manager, Programs, in the department of Talent and Organizational Development (TOD), oversees and coordinates the day- to-day operations of key University Professional Development Programs in accordance with the academic and strategic missions of the University including our medical health system. These include but are not limited to leadership development programs and New Hire Orientation. The Manager, Programs, serves as the primary person responsible for operations needed to deliver high quality programs to the University faculty and staff and other key stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and monitoring organizational-wide development programs to include: new hire orientation, new leader orientation, leadership and staff development programs
• Operational duties include but are not limited to the following:
-Implement project plan related to the delivery of new and on-going professional development programs
-Responsible for communications that support programs
-Markets programs to the University leaders and stakeholders
-Collaborates with support staff to ensure training room, supplies, and other resources are prepared in advance in order to deliver an exceptional learning experience
• Ability to coach and influence others, from senior leaders to front line employees
• Collaborates with TOD design team members on the development and monitoring of professional development competency-based programs to ensure that the programs are delivered as designed
• Work with internal and external stakeholders so that the program runs efficient and effectively. This may include working with senior leaders, Human Resources, Information Technology, etc, as well as internal/external resources that provide training and/or technology to support programs
• Responsible for evaluating and measuring the effectiveness of programs they manage
• Establishes and enables close collaborative relationships with stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of programs
• Fiscally responsible by ensuring that operations are managed within authorized budgets
• Facilitate training content to a variety of audiences who have varying levels of experience, knowledge, roles in organization
• Other duties as assigned


Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Organization Development, Education, or a related field - Required


Experience
2-4 yrs. experience in training and development field or managing programs is desired.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy and patience
• Ability to communicate well (verbal/written) in a variety of settings and function in a diverse workforce
• Ability to interact with all organizational levels: faculty, staff, physicians, and senior leadership
• Ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines
• Strong project management skills, demonstrated through ability to lead projects/goal completion from concept to implementation
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
