Assistant or Associate Professor

This is a full-time position based at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. Duties include clinical care, research, service, and limited teaching responsibilities. Specific responsibilities are participation in and development of a leadership role in the Divisions of Rheumatology and Pulmonary Medicine programs which are focused on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with rheumatic and autoimmune conditions that have substantial involvement of the lungs. A major focus will continue to be on scleroderma.

Specific Responsibilities will be asFollows:

 

Serve as Director of anewly-created Autoimmune Lung Disease Prevention and

Treatment Program at the Universityof Colorado Hospital. The primary faculty appointment will be either in theDivision of Rheumatology or the Division of Pulmonary Sciences and CriticalCare Medicine, with a secondary appointment in the alternate Division.

Job responsibilities will includeclinical practice and clinical program development, including outpatientclinics as well as shared inpatient consultation duties. A proportion of timeshould be devoted to clinical program development. Depending on interests andexpertise, a substantial component of the position could encompass clinical andtranslational research.

Outpatient clinical duties will beaccomplished in the Center for Lungs and Breathing, and will include apulmonary-centric Scleroderma Clinic.

Qualifications

RequiredQualifications: 

MD degree; Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and

Rheumatology or Pulmonary Medicine.
