Provides academic instruction and student academic support for the assigned academic division. Performs tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction including governance activities.

Essential Job Functions

-Coordinates and assists in the development, administration and evaluation of the Radiologic Technology Program.
-Travels to clinical sites.
-Teaches assigned courses in qualified discipline(s).
-Implements specified theoretical and clinical components of the curriculum.

Job Specific Task List

-Coordinates and assists in the development, administration and evaluation of the Radiologic Technology Program.
-Travels to clinical sites.
-Teaches assigned courses in qualified discipline(s).
-Implements specified theoretical and clinical components of the curriculum.Teaches assigned courses in Radiologic Technology.
-Participates in curriculum development and maintenance.
-Provides academic support and advising to students including establishing and maintaining a schedule of office hours.
-Participates in college governance by serving on joint, ad hoc, faculty, campus, division and discipline committees.
-Participates in the recruitment and hiring of new faculty through participation on assigned search committees.
-Participates in college and community service activities.
-Participates in professional growth activities and maintains awareness of new trends and developments within areas of instructional responsibility.
-Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience

-Master’s degree in a related field.
-A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and completion of a Master’s degree (in Radiologic Science, Education or closely related field) within three years of hire.

Licensing Requirements

Must hold a current ARRT registration in Radiography.
- Must have five years clinical experience in the professional discipline.
- Must have five years general teaching experience with at least three years in a JRCERT accredited program.
- Must have two years experience as a clinical coordinator.

Physical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require: fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Working conditions: None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).

- Knowledge of and experience with personal computers and software applications.
- Knowledge of and experience with a variety of instructional technologies.
- Knowledge of accreditation and certification process.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to establish positive relationships with students, faculty and staff.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body.
- Willingness to teach day, evening, weekend and on or off campus classes.
