Full-Time Close All Job SummaryThe University of Colorado High Energy Physics group welcomes applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in experimental neutrino physics. The group currently has wide-ranging roles in the T2K, NA61/SHINE, and LBNF/DUNE collaborations. It is anticipated that the successful candidate for this position will work on T2K and DUNE.Who We AreThe University of Colorado at Boulder Department of Physics features a wide range of top-notch research in an enriching and engaging atmosphere. The High Energy Physics Group at the University of Colorado Boulder conducts research in a variety of theoretical and experimental areas. The experimental efforts are divided into the energy frontier (CMS) and neutrino physics in the intensity frontier (T2K, NA61, DUNE). The theory efforts include lattice gauge theory, string theory and quantum gravity.What Your Key Responsibilities Will BeThe candidate will be expected to lead efforts in physics analysis in T2K and the design and development of hardware for the DUNE near detector. Co-mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students in research will be expected.What You Should KnowThis position will be based in Boulder, but some travel to facilities such as J-PARC and Fermilab may be necessary. What You Will NeedYou will need programming skills in C++. Applicants must also be able to balance working independently as well as working with a diverse team including graduate students, undergraduates and other collaborators.What We Would Like You To Have
