Job Summary:
Under the general supervision and direction of the Director of Graduate Recruiting and Admissions, the Manager of Graduate Recruiting and Admissions is responsible for managing and implementing operational standards for graduate application flow and processing. The Manager of Graduate Recruiting and Admissions assists in all recruitment efforts and enrollment of a high quality domestic and international class of graduate students. Both within the University and to the external community, the Manager of Graduate Recruiting and Admissions is a spokesperson, representative, and advocate for the graduate programs.

Essential Job Responsibilities




  • Manage day-to-day operations of application flow and ensure workflow is processed in a timely manner; make recommendations to improve the application process;
  • Manage application databases including Banner and Xtender;
  • Prepare admissions reports, as requested, for Director of Enrollment Management and Associate Dean of Graduate Programs;
  • Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies to facilitate application flow, selection, and enrollment of graduate students including University Graduate Admissions in the evaluation of international transcripts;
  • Evaluate and update all application materials on yearly basis or as needed, including online application, application instructions, letters of recommendation, certification of finances, decision letters, and admission packets;
  • Contact for applicants to ensure timely and successful completion of their applications;
  • Work with University Graduate Admissions Office to ensure efficient processing of international student visa requests;
  • Track progress and application procedures for special groups (international applicants, scholars, concurrent degree applicants, deferred admits, re-applicants, Jesuit MBA transfer students, etc.);
  • Complete admission profiles and surveys for external organizations such as GMAC, U.S. News, and Peterson's, related to application activity, for final review by the Director of Graduate Recruiting and Admissions and the Senior Director of Communications, Marketing, Alumni and External Relations;
  • Assist in the implementation of all admission/outreach efforts for the School of Management graduate programs including recruitment fairs, information sessions, open houses, yield events, as needed;
  • Assist in the smooth transition of accepted students to deposited and enrolled students through yield events, assistance with orientation activities, etc.;



  • Manage Slate implementation, serving as Slate Captain for the entire School of Management
  • Collaborate with other Graduate Admission offices and the central Admission Office to maintain best practices in Slate
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Accurate and timely reports related to applications, class profiles, etc.
  • Enrollment of high-quality, diverse School of Management graduate students



BA degree required. Two or more years' experience in managing/supporting recruitment programs at a university or college; advanced experience working with computer database systems, word processing and spreadsheet software; excellent communication skills; ability to represent the graduate programs within and outside USF; team-oriented; ability to delegate, train and motivate students and junior level staff; commitment to USF's Mission, Vision and Values.
