Preferred QualificationsPosition Summary

This position is based in DeKalb County. This position is responsible paraprofessional work with County Extension Agents in a food and nutrition education program for limited resource clients. The employee should exhibit qualities of judgment. Work is performed under general supervision. Illustrative examples of work: 1. Plans, organizes, schedules and conducts nutrition and food safety classes for limited resource clients, including youth and adults, under supervision of County Extension Agent. 2. Prepares for and conducts food demonstrations for group classes.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Desirable training and experience: 1. Ability to relate effectively to young people and adults. 2. Skill working with clients with limited resources.

Physical Demands

Standing, bending, food preparation, transportation of demonstration supplies, lifting, and driving.
