Job Description Summary

The primary purpose of the Financial Coordinator role is to present to patients dental treatment and payment options.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Adhere to financial policies and present all payment options in a consistent manner following the Penn Dental Family Practice guidelines. Enter payment plans into practice management software program as necessary, document financial consultation outcomes and arrangements, follow-up on treatment plans presented yet not accepted, review delinquent accounts monthly, A/R reporting, calling delinquent accounts and submitting accounts for 3rd party account retrieval when necessary. Perform practice bank deposit daily using BEN deposits. Other duties as assigned based on practice needs. Consistently demonstrate Penn's competencies emphasizing service orientation. Act professionally & calmly at all times when interacting with others; consistently demonstrate concern & courtesy; treat all people respectfully; take personal responsibility for correcting problems; follow up to ensure satisfaction with the level of service received. Work well with members of the University community, remains calm in stressful situations, & demonstrate pleasant disposition that puts people at ease.

Present dental treatment and payment options for the patients of Penn Dental Family Practice.

Create and accurately enter payment plans inside our practice management software program.

Present consistent Penn Dental Family Practice financial policies in a friendly and supportive manner to patients. Value diversity of our community and customers. Manage conflict effectively.

Efficiently and promptly perform monthly accounts receivables management through reporting, and follow up on delinquent accounts.

Perform accurate daily deposits through the University of Pennsylvania BEN financial system.

Qualifications:

Associates degree and 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
