Job Description

Under general supervision, this position assists in the coordination of the Academic Learning Center and programs such as subject-area tutoring, supplemental instrucion, and campus programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Tutoring Services Coordinator by creating, establishing and maintaining
    tracking and reporting systems to monitor tutoring and supplemental instruction (SI)
    sessions.
  • Assists in coordinating logistics for tutoring, supplemental instruction and on-campus
    programming
  • Provides data and progress/status reporting as necessary for tutoring and SI sessions to the Director of the Student Academic Success Center
  • Assists the Tutoring Services Coordinator in creating reports to reflect student session numbers; assists in the creation and maintenance of internal controls to protect student confidentiality and program reports.
  • Guides, directs, answers questions, and resolves problems of students seeking assistance from the Tutoring Center
  • May be required to train tutors and SI leaders
  • Maintains and updates tutoring schedules in Navigate
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field
  • Three years of related experience in tutoring or program administration.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of work processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
