Position Information Position TitleAcademic Services SpecialistJob Search IdentifierStaffProposed Salary$31,828.00General Summary of ResponsibilitiesThe Academic Services Specialist for the College of Education and Human Services will be pivotal to the college’s mission and continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining program and college data, submitting timely reports for the college, analyzing large sets of data, staying abreast of the college standards for program accreditation and state reports in order to insure appropriate data gathering and processing mechanisms are functional, and performing special projects and other duties as assigned. This position will also promote retention and progression for students seeking admission into select programs and provide support for the national accreditation and program approvals across the college.
Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 2 years related experience.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• Professional experience in higher education research, data analysis, institutional planning, and/or institutional effectiveness
• Experience working with faculty, students, and administrators
• Experience analyzing detailed information and reports to identify errors or verify accuracy
• Experience working with Banner ERP system
• Working knowledge of national accreditation standards and/or requirements and state program approval standards
• Demonstrable experience in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, R, SPSS, or other data analysis and visualization tools
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite software
• Knowledge or experience in SQLquery language and/or programming
• Master’s degree in Statistics and/or research-related field
