Job Description:

Saybrook University is seeking a Federal Work Study Student: to join its Department of Counseling, in the College of Social Science, to assist with field experience documentation.

Under the direction of the Chair, Department of Counseling, the Field Experience Document Coordinator (FEDC) is responsible for maintaining, preparing, sending, and collecting field experience documentation for the MA Counseling practicum and internship programs using AdobeSign. Confidentiality is required for this position as student information is accessible.

Duties include:

  • Sending documentation at required intervals to ensure CACREP compliance including: (35%)
    • Site Proposals
    • Field Experience Affiliation and Supervision Agreements
    • End of Semester Hours form
    • Site Supervisor Evaluation of the Student
    • Practicum Hours form
    • Internship Hours form
    • Student Evaluation of the Site form
    • Reaffirmation of Field Experience Agreement
  • Gathering, reviewing, and uploading signed documentation into MA Counseling SharePoint site. (30%)
  • Updating Excel tracking file to ensure documentation compliance (20%)
  • Working closely with faculty to ensure proper forms are sent as students transition from Practicum, Internship, and completing Field Experience. (10%)
  • Updating templates to ensure accuracy of information being gathered (5%)
  • Following up and reminding students, supervisors, and faculty when documentation is pending. (5%)

Position Requirements:

Excellent writing skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Knowledge of the Canvas system.

Ability to effectively use standard word processing programs.

Ability to effectively use the web for research and communication.

Knowledge of APA’s writing style requirements.

Position Qualifications:

Must be a full time Saybrook student eligible for the work study program.

Must be a student in the Counseling department.
