Job Function:

The Enterprise Technology Manager is responsible for providing tier three coordination, project leadership, overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the admissions technologies responsible for student acquisition, retention and enrollment lifecycle management. In collaboration with Student Services and Community Engagement this position is the primary liaison coordinating external and internal operations to ensure data integrity, technical direction, documentation, resolution, training and data management and support necessary for community based and traditional university admissions processes.

Essential Job Functions:

    Provides administrative leadership and optimization for CRM and technologies necessary for community focused certificates and non-degree seeking and traditional student enrollment management process.

    Actively supervises, evaluates and continuously develops support team

    Ensuring accurate business analysis and operational documentation, support processes and procedures related to the application and environment, investigating and resolving technical application and server environment errors, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.

    Ensure system availability and user knowledge necessary for integrated system operations to provide student lifecycle management.

    Manages support for the Community Impact Center and Advisement/Enrollment areas, develops and maintains positive working relationships with the OSU-System personnel, community partners and leadership.

    Manages customer focused support technologies and actively assists users with operations training or resolution of problems related to student management systems and conference supportive technologies for the Impact Center and Advisement/Enrollment Center.

    Develops complex time sensitive reports using COGNOS Report Studio for stakeholders providing real-time reporting and predictive modeling intelligence for decision making.

    Serves as liaison and escalation point, develops and maintains positive working relationships with the OSU-System personnel, community partners, and other OSU A&M universities.

    Stays informed of emerging technologies that could benefit the University.

    Attends and participates in staff meetings; serves on teams and committees as assigned.

    Completes all mandatory training and participates in a minimum of two professional development each year.

    Performs other duties assigned.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Work Experience:

    3 – 5 years of experience as a project lead or development supervisor of medium to large Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or client management systems.

    3 – 5 years of experience in enterprise/business intelligence systems and/or database management.

    3 – 5 years of experience as a direct supervisor small to medium sized enterprise system or development and support teams.

    Experience with SalesForce for higher education.

    Experience in directing and project management of multiple competing priorities including long-term planning and business continuity.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Proven technical experience in security, portal management, reports and documentation, user staff training and support.

    Experience in ensuring successful third party support for software maintenance, enhancements, and configurations.

    Experience in business analytics, development, enhancement, user documentation creation, training, administration, report creation using Cognos, SQL, spreadsheet software needed to support admission cycle.

    Establishes and maintains record of technical competencies for staff and provides or recommends necessary skill development.

    Identifies future technical needs of the admission programs and student retention strategies. Maintains general knowledge of work processes across Student Services.

    Experience in developing, directing and managing teams and stakeholders to ensure success of multiple competing projects/tasks.

    Strong organizational, communication, listening and interpersonal skills.

    Evidences a history of demonstrating independent initiative and ethical and professional behavior

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, business, or closely related. Relevant work experience or applicable certificates may substitute for formal education.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years of experience as an enterprise CRM manager or development supervisor or related technologies.3-5 years of experience with SalesForce for higher education.Master’s degree in management information systems, computer science, business, or closely related field.Prior experience in a university/higher education admissions technical capacity or CRM or project management certification.Certified Project Manager designation.


Working Conditions:

  • Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone and via email.
  • Occasional evenings and weekends required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Other than those physical/mental requirements included within the essential functions, this position
  • Duties require extended periods of sitting, standing, talking, listening and computer usage
  • Requires possible lifting of up to 45 lbs (if an object weighs more than 45 pounds, OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift.)
  • Requires proper handling of computers, components and technology equipment, use of both hands in repetitive actions, simple grasping, and fine manipulation
